In order to ensure that all our children are safe and well looked after, we at Billingshurst Primary School will:
- Have a clear policy and procedure for child protection, in line with the Local Authority’s guidelines and available to parents on request
- Operate stringent safe recruitment procedures and makes sure that full checks are carried out on all staff and volunteers who work within our school
- Have at least two designated Child Protection Officers on the staff, one of whom will be the Headteacher
- Ensure that all staff, including Child Protection Officers, receive regular and updated training
- Ensure that any weakness or deficiency found in procedures will be remedied without delay
- Review our policies and procedures at least annually
